Good win for the Toreadors away at Vistabella on the new carpet. We had a number of new bowlers and everyone played their part in some difficult conditions. Thunder lighting and the odd downpour. Don't mention sat navs to Neil Crawford!!!

Away at Greenland’s the Matadors won on two rinks and drew on one rink. Well done to the winning rinks of Pauline Merry, Alan Ashberry skip Chris Merry, Tracey Houghton, Denise Ashberry skip Jan Gatward and the drawing rink of Gina Hindle George Houghton skip Graham Smyth.

Monte Mar Toreadors v Country Bowls Geckos 5

The first home game of the season saw a evenly contested match against the Country Bowls Geckos. Monte Mar won on two rinks, well done Bill Winterburn, Rita Towle skip Neil Crawford, Sue Bounds, Peter Morley skip Ian Hamilton. The shots were very close with the Toreadors coming out just ahead by one point.

Monte Mar Toreadors v Greenland’s Chestnuts
At home again, but this time 6
– 8 to a very strong team from Greenland’s. The Toreadors only managed to win on one rink, well done to Jean Chamberlain, Chris Harding skip Neil Crawford. The Greenland Chestnuts won on all the other rinks and the shot difference shows how well they played.

Winter league Wednesday October 23 Monte Mar played host to Greenland’s finishing with a lovely meal at the Belfry afterwards. The match was competitive on all rinks with Monte Mar edging it on rinks and Geenlands edging it on shots.
