Fang-tastic fun at Sierra Bernia School!

-

Last Thursday, Sierra Bernia School in Alfaz del Pi, Celebrated their annual Halloween after school party. All staff and students spent the day preparing the party with Spooktacular results!

In the morning, Year 4, 5 and 6 undertook showed some spirit with the help of their teachers and showed some terrifyingly good knife skills by carving some wicked pumpkin heads.

This year, the prizes for the raffle (with the exception of the ipad – always the star prize) were sponsored by local businesses which the students had approached as part of the Business Studies IGCSE course. As ever, there were prizes for the best costume from all the key stages as well as best parent’s costumes – everyone agreed that each year the costumes get better and better.

As ever, there were many fun stalls and games at the after school party; ranging from the slimy “What’s in the Pot?” trick or treat game, to the frighteningly good ’Dead Man’s Eyeball Toss’. There was also the fabulously fun bouncy castle and the henna hand painting to keep everyone entertained.

For anyone who was prepared to get their scare on; there were some poisonous potions to drink such as Princess Potion and Bug Splat which went down a scream! Without forgetting the ghoulishly delightful food stand, delicious enough to make anyone rise from the dead.

Last but not least, The Secondary staff and students prepared a chillingly creepy corridor with hair raising results down which only the bravest dared pass.

All in all, the school community had a fang-tastic time and are already planning next year’s event – bats off to all the participants!
