The final presentation of the 2019 season

Preceded by days of heavy rain and high winds, 128 of our intrepid members and their guests were welcomed to the final presentation of the TASMA 2019 season at Salones Canor, by bright sunshine and a fine weather greeting.

The presentation by Clyde Binfield was an intriguing visual assessment of the life and times of Sir Edwin Lutyens, illustrated by numerous celebrations of his architectural splendour, pocketed by a cascade of witty puns of which he was notorious. The presentation was judged as outstanding by those present, reflected by the lengthy applause given.

As is standard at the end of the Society meetings, those present enjoyed a glass wine whilst socialising with other members and in addition tasted a welcome seasonal mince pie or two!

The final presentation of 2019 was also the last act by Tony Cabban as Chairman for the Society. Tony was in the vanguard at the very start of the fledgling Society, and has been the prime mover during our formative three years. Again, those present gave him an enthusiastic thank you for his significant contribution to the wellbeing of the Society today.

In thanks the Committee and their partners, including Clyde Binfield and Brett Hanson of our sponsors Blevins Franks, hosted by Lanie Widmar, invited Tony and his wife Cherry to a celebration lunch at Restaurante Masena in Javea. During the meal a vote of thanks was proposed by Rod check out the Caprice website: www.aileenlightfoot.com
