Business as usual at Jalón Valley Help

-

Jalon Valley Help has made another food delivery to Cáritas, a local Spanish charity that provides food to the most needy in the area. This is a well worthwhile charity and Jalón Valley Help President Elaine Horton said “We have supported Cáritas for several years and this latest supply of food just confirms that, whilst our shops have been closed and we have been unable to hold any fundraising events, in many respects it's business as usual for Jalón Valley Help even in these strange times”

Elaine went on to report that the three JVH shops will be opening on July 1 and that the charity will be taking extensive precautions to protect customers and the volunteers working in the shops.

The Alacalalí shop is being refurbished to provide a much better shopping experience so it will be good to see that opened and up and running.

Even through lockdown volunteers have been working hard to support the most vulnerable in our society providing food, shopping, loan of medical equipment, arranging medical care and transport to medical appointments where necessary. They have also continued to provide financial assistance to a number of patients in Ferris Hospital, Fontilles.

With all this going on it will be good that when the shops are open they will be back to some sort of normality raising money to continue to help the needy.

The OK Band will be performing at the Bull Ring in Alcalali on July 25 - see separate article for more details.
