Park night tours prove popular
THE NIGHT tours of La Mata-Torrevieja natural park, announced in Costa Blanca News two weeks ago, are now taking bookings for August.
All the places on the tours in July had been fully booked by last week, so if you missed out don’t hesitate to go to http://turismodetorrevieja.com/ecorutas and reserve your place for next month.
The tours take in some of the emblematic areas of this protected natural space, which is home to flamingoes, stilts and many more species of wading birds as well as foxes, rabbits and many more mammals and reptiles.
It has unique habitats and plants which have become established along the shores of the salt lakes
FREE ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN
L’Ampolla beach will be the place chosen for the environmental workshops for children from 5 to 14 years old that will take place in July, Thursday 30, and in August on Thursday 6 from 09.30 to 13.30.
The activities to be carried out are: Our coastal biodiversity: workshop with the aim of highlighting the importance of the Mediterranean Sea in general, and of the coastline of the municipality
TITANIC EXHIBITION
Valencia’s exhibition on the infamous Titanic vessel has been extended yet again and will remain open until September 13. ‘Titanic: The Exhibition’ has been up and running in the city’s Kinépolis shopping centre, enjoying much success since arriving. With close to 200 original items and a thorough recap of how the ship set sail and eventually sank, there is more than enough to warrant a visit by anyone who has any sort of interest on this topic.
