Enjoy the balcony scene

MUSIC is set to fill the streets of Calpe old town during August with a series of mini-concerts played live from the balconies of buildings. On Wednesdays and Fridays the streets will come alive with the sound of music as nine groups take turns to perform during the special festival ‘Art al balcó’. Organised by the town hall’s department of culture, the event is intended to repeat the success of July’s street art festival ‘Art al carrer’ - and ensure that despite coronavirus, visitors can still enjoy culture, art and music.

People will be able to wander the streets of the historic centre of Calpe and enjoy the sights and sounds of the performances - it will still be mandatory to respect social distancing and to wear a mask.

'Performances are being staged every Wednesday and Friday evenings at a variety of locations. There are three different ‘mico-concerts' each night at 20.30, 21.00 and 21.30.
