Calpe town hall approves a new line of aid for nightlife companies

-

Calpe town hall plenary session has approved a new line of financial aid for nightlife companies in the town as part of the “Plan Resiste”, in order to alleviate the financial losses suffered by the sector because of the COVID- 19. It should be remembered, that the Regional Ministry of Health decreed the closure of nightlife venues August 17, right in the middle of the summer season, as a preventative measure in the fight against the coronavirus.

The aim of this aid is to collaborate in the recovery, maintenance and revitalisation of Calpe’s commercial activity, which has been greatly affected by the COVID- 19 crisis. This aid for nightlife is a new line of action in the “Plan Resiste”, which already includes subsidies for companies that had to close down during the state of alarm, for the rubbish tax and for entrepreneurial women.

Holders of any of the following activity licences may apply for this subsidy: discotheques, dance halls, karaoke or cocktail bars with and without a live music performances licence in Calp on 18 August 2020 that had suspended their activity as a result of the Ministry’s decree of August 17.

The amount of the subsidy will vary between 1,000 and 2,000 euros depending on the people employed in the suspended activity. Therefore, it will amount to 1,000 euros if there are no employees, 1,500 euros if there are between one and three employees, 1,800 euros if there are between four and eight employees and 2,000 euros if there are more than eight employees.

Once the aid has been confirmed as approved, applications will be submitted to Calpe town hall’s register on a standard form, which will be available on the municipal website within 15 working days of publication in the BOP.
