Spanish classes for foreigners start in Denia

- By Samantha Kett news@ cbnews. es

SPANISH classes for foreigners have started up through the Denia branch of Spain’s open university, the UNED, and will run until February 2021.

Yet another route to learning the language and culture of one’s adopted country, the UNED classes are described as being affordable and thorough. Anyone who completes the half- year course is en route to speaking a ‘ reasonable level’ of Spanish by the end.

Three levels are being run from this week until next February – intermediate ( B1, or about AS- Level) for those who speak a little Spanish but want to improve; upper intermediate ( B2, or about secondyear degree level) for those who can already hold a conversation in more or less correct Spanish but want to hone their skills and learn more about the culture; and advanced ( C1, or graduate level) aimed at students keen to express themselves properly in all situations and widen their vocabulary to be able to talk about any subject. The classes are practical, informal, and active, and are given by UNED tutor Victoria Monera, who is experienced in teaching Spanish as a foreign and as a native language.

Residents can check out availability for language classes of all levels from beginners to almost- native level – as well as, for those already fluent, undergraduate degrees, master’s degrees, PhD programmes and university access courses in a long list of subjects – via www. uned denia. es, or by emailing info@ denia. uned. es, info@ javea. uned. es info@ benidorm. uned. es. or
