NORDIC WALKERS ARE BACK

The Nordic Walkers Club meet twice a week, every Tuesday and Thursday, from 20.00 until 21.00. Nordic Walking is a sport that makes 90% of the body ' ´ s muscles work – around 600, increases general flexibilit­y and strengthen­s the immune system. Recommende­d for all ages the sessions are limited to a maximum of 15 people and use of masks is mandatory.

NEW COURSES IN ALFAZ

Residents of Alfas del Pi have the opportunit­y of registerin­g for a new range of recreation­al courses which will be starting in October.

Prices range between € 20 to € 32 depending on the students age and if resident in the town. The courses available include English classes for children and adults, Theatre, Chess, Yoga, Norwegian, Painting, Spanish for foreigners, IT, French, Sculpture and Digital photograph­y.

ALICANTE PROVINCIAL WALKS

Until November 15: Alicante provincial government organised series of walks through its parks and natural spaces. A coach will leave Plaza de Los Luceros in Alicante at 08.00 on the morning of each walk. Aimed at people over 16 years of age. Walkers under 18 years of age must be accompanie­d by an adult. Participan­ts should wear long trousers, a t- shirt and a change of top, warm clothing ( according to the weather forecast), walking boots, sun cream, sun glasses, and bring a backpack, a charged mobile phone, and food and drink. Further informatio­n and registrati­on, which is essential is available through the Valencian federation of mountain sports and climbing federation ( FEMECV) website at www. femecv. com.
