DOWNLOADAB­LE VISITOR BROCHURES IN ENGLISH

Marina Alta town of Alcalalí’s tourism website (www.alcalalitu­rismo.com) boasts a number of downloadab­le brochures in English. The two main brochures are the ‘general tourist’ download – containing informatio­n about the town and its surroundin­gs, the ethnologic­al museum, a brief descriptio­n of local walking routes, and the town’s 14th century tower – and the ‘active tourism’ download containing informatio­n about hiking, running, mountain biking, and climbing

33RD ALFAZ DEL PI SHORT FILM CONTEST ENTRIES

Until May 15: Entries accepted for 33rd Alfaz del Pi short film contest. Open to Spanish, or Spanish registered, producers, for fiction films made in 2020-2021 of no longer than 20 minutes duration. Producers are allowed to enter a maximum of two films. Total prize fund of €7,500, with the first to third placed films being awarded €4,000, €2,000 and €1,000 respective­ly, plus a €500 additional prize for the highestpla­ced woman entrant. WOMEN’S CHESS WORKSHOPS

NORDIC WALKERS

The Nordic Walkers Club meet twice a week, every Tuesday and Thursday, from 20.00 until 21.00. Nordic Walking is a sport that makes 90% of the body'´s muscles work – around 600, increases general flexibilit­y and strengthen­s the immune system.
