VALENCIA FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT
Until June 11: The Palacio de las Comunicaciones is hosting an exhibition entitled ‘De la foscor a la llum’ (from darkness to light – in Valencian), which brings together a total of 73 pieces from the Lladro collection, including works by Joaquín Sorolla, Juan de Juanes, José de Ribera, Francisco Zurbarán, José Benlliure and Ignacio Pinazo. The exhibition features a total of 71 paintings and two sculptures from the 15th to the 20th century – including the iconic ‘Labradora valenciana’ by Sorolla. The Palacio de las Comunicaciones is situated at Plaza del Ayuntamiento, 23, and is open Tuesday to Sunday from 12.00-20.00. It is closed on Mondays
MARS. THE CONQUEST OF A DREAM
Until further notice: The museum of science has added a fragment of a meteorite from Mars to its exhibition ‘Mars. The conquest of a dream’. The display is on the third floor of the museum, where the public can ‘experience and discover the most relevant and curious facts about the red planet’. MAR MENOR EXHIBITION
Permanent exhibition: The flora and fauna of the Mar Menor is on display in a permanent exhibition at the oceanographic centre in Valencia’s city of science and arts.
