Jávea man, 77, drowns in villa pool

A pensioner has drowned in a pool at a Jávea villa, despite paramedics' attempts to revive him.

The 77-year-old, who has not been identified, was dragged out of the water at the property on an urbanisation on Calle de la Viña at 11.00 on Monday.

He was found to be in cardiac arrest.

An ambulance attended the scene and he was given CPR, but without success.
