Teeager rescued from well

A YOUNG lady who plunged into a well in Ondara has been rescued safe and sound, albeit 'with cuts and bruises'.

Fire fighters were called out at about 19.30 on Friday after the 17-year-old fell four metres (13 feet) down a shaft.

She said the ground had literally given way under her feet.

Luckily, there was not much water in the well, and rescuers reached the frightened teenager quickly.

Other than being shaken, she was said to be 'completely fine', but had suffered a few superficial cuts and scrapes.

She did not require medical treatment.
