Forest fire averted

A stolen car that had been set alight could have burned down the pine wood in La Marina urbanisation, San Fulgencio if it were not for the quick response of the fire brigade.

They came from Almoradí in the early hours of Tuesday morning and put out the flames, which were already burning two trees. The pine forest extends all the way along the coast from Guardamar del Segura to Elche and Santa Pola but a small section of it is in San Fulgencio.
