Companians back in the park

Despite now officially closed for the summer – although the Companians Club in Albir had been shut since mid-March when lockdown came into force - with restrictions now lifted some form of new normality is returning to club members.

The Monday afternoon petanca club restarted this week, with members Irene Weir and Dot Elias drumming up enthusiasm at the Eucalyptus Park where they play at 2pm every Monday followed by refreshments at the local bar.

The park is lovely and shady, with huge eucalyptus trees (hence the name) and a great way for some of the members to meet up and reconnect in small groups.
