ADDA ANNOUNCES NEW SEASON CONCERTS

The Alicante provincial government auditorium (ADDA) announced that all the concerts for the remainder of this season, which finishes on June 15, have been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Refunds and other options will be made available to ticket and season pass holders, who can find out more by email to protocolo.adda@diputacion­alicante.es

At the same time, they have announced some of the names who will be playing their next season, who include the renowned French-American cellist Yo-Yo Ma.

Other names lined up for the 2020-2021 season include Katia y Marielle Labèque, Marin Alsop and Radio Symphonyor­chester Wien, and concerts with the Mariinsky Theatre orchestra and conductor Valery Gergiev.

In the meantime, the ADDA will continue to support and share musical initiative­s on its social networks to offer culture to the whole population while they are in confinemen­t.

MURCIA ORGAN CYCLE

Until December 11: Suenan los órganos (sound of organs) music featuring performanc­es on organs throughout the city. Admission to all performanc­es is free.

ALBIR COOKING WITH DANY

Local Albir resident Dani Bowler is a MasterChef quarter finalist, restaurant­eur and private chef, Dani is giving live cooking demonstrat­ions each week, streaming via Facebook.

ONLINE TECH PARTY

Jul 1, 2 and 3 will see a 3-day technology event promoting youth leisure and training through technology. Last year 300 participat­ed but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year it will all be done virtually from the safety of your own home.

There will be a number of categories, such as Fortnite, Brawl Stars, video game consoles, etc with open tournament­s broadcast live on a profession­al level. There will also be talks and demonstrat­ions plus activities to take part in.

SINGING FOR CHARITY

Benidorm all round entertaine­r Pablo Bloom has written a charity song “Hang in There” to raise money for Benidorm'´s British Businesses Associatio­n Food Bank. One of the most popular and respected acts here, he also managed to enlist the help of more than 100 fellow acts.

In his own amusing way, the lyricÇs reflect how things have changed for everyone since the start of the pandemic and sends out a message of unity that “We're all in this together” and that “Together we will make it”.

The song was recorded during lockdown, so each artiste recorded their piece then sent it in to Pablo, who then spent around two weeks editing the clips to come up with the final version.

STORYTIME BROADCAST FOR CHILDREN

Teulada library, faced with closure since the start of the health crisis, will be broadcasti­ng a story for children each Tuesday at 17.00.

The librarian will narrate a different tale each week, and the stories will be of different themes, but above all classics of Valencian culture and literature.

To listen to the story, it will be live on Teulada-Moraira social networking channels.
