Fake designer goods seized at market
Counterfeit designer wares were seized from a Dénia market stall and its two sellers arrested at the weekend after National Police spotted members of the public sporting suspiciouslooking goods.
They seized football strips, trainers, clothes, watches, handbags, shoes, wallets, purses and electronics, all purporting to be the genuine article.
They were missing holograms, kitemarks and other foolproof antiforgery devices, and the logo designs and letterings were ' just not quite right' according to a discerning shopper.
The stallholders – two Moroccan men aged 34 and 65 – were taken into custody, but it is believed they were later released with charges.
