- By Jack Troughton

BARGAINS galore are offered at special sales prices at the Calpe charity shop run by Calpe and Benissa Lions.

The shop is a key part of the association’s fundraising and is now open as usual after shutting shop because of the coronavirus health crisis.

The doors are open, and customers are made welcome from Monday to Saturday from 10.00 until 13.00.

Over the last five years, the Lions have supported a number of good causes in the area, including the Red Cross, Cáritas and until it was closed, the Calpe town hall food bank.

CBN was told the association was proud to make annual donations of around € 60,000 in support of community projects.
