Albir Anglicans Harvest
ON Sunday, October 4 the Church of England celebrated Harvest Thanksgiving. The display was magnificent from so few people. Although some people who are not yet attending church gave money to be spent for the display. There were three large tables full and bags underneath that we didn’t have time or space to empty. After the service everything was loaded into crates and filled three cars. On Monday morning at the crack of sparrows Joanne opened up the Alfaz del Pi food bank to accept our delivery. It was clear that she was very grateful to be able to replenish the shelves for the many needy families.
Our church services are being held at 3pm for the time being, this is because our hosts the Norwegians are not yet worshipping in Villajoyosa, so we follow them into the building in the afternoon. It is great that we can still use their premises on Carrer Mart, Albir. Drive past the entrance to Rober Palas Hotel and we are the next road on the left. We are following all the current
recommendation of the Chaplaincy Council in respect of Covid19. The correct sanitisation is in place and also the social distancing.
