Travel Safely With ESICUBA!

ESICUBA BEARS OUT BOTH ITS TRAVEL INSURANCE AND MEDICAL EXPENSES COVER COVID-19

-

Providing insurance policies linked to longer trips and stays in Cuba, which guarantee that those who demand them feel increasingly better protected against the various unforeseen events and eventualities that may occur, has always been the driving force behind ESICUBA. Therefore, during the ongoing pandemic, these products have been able to fully cover the policyholders who test positive to COVID-19 while they remain in national territory.

However, with a logical concern for health and safety in these times, there are many who continue to contact us to inquire in detail about the topic. With the question of whether we cover the disease and to what extent we do so, we have even been approached by a number of travel agencies, which now have the priority task of offering maximum protection and peace of mind to their would-be travelers.

For some of them, and also in a bid to serve as a timely clarification to vacationers who will come to see Cuba as a destination in the next months, ESICUBA'S answer is again "Yes": we have policies for trips and stays that guarantee accompaniment against most of the drawbacks that th spread of the disease by the new coronavirus entails. In fact, we have had the pleasure of amending the clauses of these insurance policies in order to make the coverage related to COVID-19 and its scope far more explicit.

In this sense, we underscore that our insurance policyholders for medical expenses will continue to enjoy the same service and will be able to appreciate these readjustments, by way of clarification, with which we hope to give them greater peace of mind with respect to the contracted policy. As far as travel insurance is concerned, the policies that cover this particular disease have been very well defined in the marketing plans, as it is the case of the Guarantee of Trips in Cuba.

This guarantee should be sufficient for those who arrive in the country as vacationers, since it is valid for 30 days. The 30,000-peso limit it covers means that travelers are completely protected if they fall ill. In addition, the services offered were expanded, so the COVID-19 coverage also includes PCR tests prescribed by medical doctors, the stay in Isolation Centers, medical assistance in Cuban health institutions and the medications all the way up to the repatriation, if necessary. On the other hand, payment of the difference in the air ticket fare is introduced if for this reason the return trip is either anticipated or held back.

Now, even though it is true that having an insurance policy that protects you in case you test positive for COVID-19 is a good move in the right direction, it would be a whole lot better to prevent the disease by taking all necessary measures to stay away from harm's way while you are traveling. So, as an insurance company, we call on you to protect yourself, for you, for your family and also for all of us.
