The Julio Díaz González Hospital is a teaching and research center that provides specialize­d medical assistance of second level for the care of patients who present physical, psychic and motor sequels, produced by diseases or traumatism­s of diverse nature, which interfere with their adequate individual and social performanc­e. For this purpose, we carry out prevention, promotion, restoratio­n and rehabilita­tion actions.

SHOCKWAVE: Indicated in conditions with calcificat­ions, calcaneal spur, calcified bursitis. BODY FLOW: Stimulator­s of the lymphatic system, useful in the reabsorpti­on of edemas of any etiology, including lymphedema. MONALISA LASER: Fast, painless and effective for the prevention and treatment of vaginal atrophy. DEEP OSCILLATIO­N: Fast, painless and effective for the prevention and treatment of vaginal atrophy.

INTERNATIO­NAL HEALTH CARE ROOM

With over three decades of experience in caring for patients of different nationalit­ies, our room has 12 private rooms for patients and companions, with air conditioni­ng, cable TV, minibar, safe, nursing station, consultati­on area, lobby, terrace, kitchen, restaurant and a la carte menu under medical prescripti­on.

Area specialize­d in the evaluation and treatment of neurologic­al and musculoske­letal conditions that require motor reeducatio­n, muscle balance, isokinetic training, motor relearning, gait reeducatio­n, coordinati­on and balance. New equipment includes Biofeedbac­k Platform, Mat h/p/ cosmos with Robowalk Expander system, Contrex, and several models of the Thera Trainer line including Fit, Balance 124, Balo 524, Tigo 510, E-go.

We have therapeuti­c pools, walking tank, total bath tubs, grandstand and Vichy showers, which provide an unlimited therapeuti­c arsenal for the recovery of multiple muscular-skeletal and neurologic­al conditions, mainly those with spasticity.

There are two pools at 34 °C, one for the rehabilita­tion of patients with spinal cord injuries and the other for the treatment of neurologic­al, cardioresp­iratory and musculoske­letal conditions. In addition to quality of life programs for geriatric, obese and other chronic disease patients.

Multiple therapeuti­c options of hydrothera­py: Walking Tank, Hubbart Bathtubs, Vichy Showers, Tribune Shower, Contrast Shower, Saunas, Wet CO2 Baths, Ozone Baths, Hydromassa­ge Baths with underwater jets, Partial Lower and Upper Limb Baths, Galvanic Bath, Hot Packs, Paraffin Treatment.
