THE OLIVE OIL SECTOR’S BIG EVENT IS ALMOST HERE
Expoliva is already upon us and will celebrate its coming of age this year, as 2017 marks the 18th show in the series. In view of burgeoning requests for space from potential exhibitors, Expoliva organisers have been compelled to expand the exhibition area — yet in spite of this, not everyone can be accommodated. Expectations could not be better: attendees from five continents have been confirmed. These professionals will travel to Jaén to discover the sector’s latest developments in olive oil production machinery, compost and fertilisers, packing, distributing, technology, co-operatives and mills, all presented by exhibitors who are set to show their very best to everyone who visits their stands.
Another major part of the trade fair comprises the bilateral talks that will take place between companies, research groups and public bodies active in research and technology related to the olive and olive oil sector, which — as they do at each event — will bring together leading experts.
As is customary, in addition to including reports on Expoliva and other topics of interest among this issue’s central themes, Oleo Revista wishes to highlight 12 olive oil industry figures. ‘Olive Oil Top 12’ profiles professionals who — in their respective fields — all demonstrate a passion for this sector and are proud to work in it.
