Desde Rávena, a una hora de Bolonia, y pasando por Florencia, el Camino de Dante sigue los pasos del exilio del poeta y filósofo Dante Alighieri (1265-1321) a lo largo de una ruta circular de 395 kilómetros. Atraviesa, por antiguos caminos de origen etrusco-romano, una veintena de pueblos con encanto, castillos medievales y bosques mágicos como los del Parque Nacional Casentino. Sobre algunos de estos lugares escribió el padre del pensamiento moderno y la lengua italiana en su obra cumbre, La Divina Comedia. Este año, cuando se cumplen siete siglos de su muerte, el Camino cobra aún más sentido.

Starting from Ravenna, an hour from Bologna, and passing through Florence, the Way of Dante follows in the steps of exiled poet-philosopher Dante Alighieri (1265-1321) along a 395km circular route. Ancient Etruscan and Roman roads wend their way past mediaeval castles and through 20 charming villages and magical forests such as the Casentino National Park. The pioneer of modern thinking and father of the Italian language wrote about some of these places in his best-known work, The Divine Comedy. This year, on the 700th anniversary of his death, the route has an even greater poignancy.
