Akbar Brothers Director praises Mihin Lanka
As Sri Lanka’s economic hybrid airline with a regional focus, Mihin Lanka seeks to leverage the Asian hub into as well as via Colombo and thus expand connectivity within the region. The Asian region is fast becoming an important business and leisure hub and an economic, budget carrier such as Mihin Lanka which flies to seven direct destinations is a great instigator of good relations between these seven destinations and Sri Lanka.
“In Mihin Lanka’s quest to leverage the Asian hub into Colombo, connecting Bangladesh is top priority, given Bangladesh’s rising importance within the Asian region. Through Mihin’s involvement, not only does Bangladesh have access to Mihin Lanka and its extended routes but also to SriLankan Airlines and all the added advantages the national carrier provides. The increased connectivity between the two countries through the commencement of operations between Colombo and Dhaka further strengthens exchange, interaction, cooperation and bilateral relations between the countries,” said Mihin Lanka CEO Kapila Chandrasena.
Echoing these sentiments was Director of Akbar Brothers, Asgi Akbarally who recently flew Mihin Lanka to Dhaka, Bangladesh.
“The only reason I finally chose Mihin Lanka was because it was the only direct flight to Dhaka and I did not want to waste time if I were to fly via another airline which would have incurred a stopover. However, having approached my Mihin Lanka flight with much hesitation and trepidation I was pleasantly surprised that the plane was sturdy, clean and maintained to high standards,” said Akbarally. “Having finally experienced a Mihin Lanka flight first hand, I will not hesitate to fly Mihin again and I would definitely recommend anyone to fly this airline as well. In fact, other than for certain limitations in the food department there was absolutely no other indication that I was on a budget carrier. That is the superlative level of service and standard that Mihin Lanka maintains and Sri Lanka should be proud to have such a carrier at its service,” continued Akbarally.
He also went on to say that a service such as the one Mihin Lanka offers is of great value to all those business travellers seeking direct and timely flights to their destinations as well as for leisure travellers seeking an economical means by which to get to their destinations. Mihin Lanka’s service to the Middle East is also a much welcomed state of affairs as many job seekers make use of it.
With Sri Lanka expanding its economic and tourism reach across Asia and the world beyond, Mihin Lanka will be able to garner an increased amount of airline passengers. The hospitality and service offered on board is a further encouragement for more people to choose Mihin Lanka as their air carrier.
