Seminar on Australian migration revised point scheme

The Australian Migration Consultant­s, Sri Lanka will hold a seminar on August 26 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. at Cinnamon Lakeside to highlight the recent changes made by the Australian Migration Authority on the migration of skilled persons to Australia.

It will focus on the new point scheme on test visa, state/regional and employer sponsored migration schemes as well as the new model for selecting Migrants ‘ Skill Select’.

The seminar will also highlight the basic assessment criteria on age, English literacy, educationa­l qualificat­ions, Australian employment, overseas employment and other relevant credential­s.

The panel of speakers would consist of Jan Drewery Clark, a Senior Migration Consultant and the South Australian state representa­tive of the MA at the Migration Review Tribunal and Manjula Kulathunga, the Business/ Migration Consultant and Vice President at the AusLanka Business Council. They will elaborate on the revised point scheme to help all who are interested in skilled migration to go through a smooth migration process.

Frederik Moerdyk – Attorney-at-law, New Zealand Migration Consultant, and licensed immigratio­n advisor who has been granted a full license to operate as a New Zealand immigratio­n adviser under the Immigratio­n Advisers Licensing Act 2007 is a qualified attorney, having practiced law before migrating to New Zealand 14 years ago.

Darren Frost is an IELTS Course teacher educated at Manchester University UK. Dileepa Manawadu- Exams Marketing Manager – British Council will share the insights of IELTS and what facilities can be availed free of charge for candidates in Sri Lanka.
