M. D. Gunasena opens revolution­ary book store in Colombo

M. D. Gunasena t he leading publisher, printer and bookseller, declared open Sri Lanka’s largest book in Colombo 4 under the store patronage of Mr. Tony Riley – Country Manager, British Council Sri Lanka, Mr. Percy Gunasena Chairman and Mr. Rajiv Gunasena Deputy Managing Director - M. D. Gunasena. The state-of-the-art book store spreads across 5000sqft embracing a chic ambience through an architectu­ral design.

The new book store located in No. 27, Galle Road Colombo 4 caters to the local book lovers as a total one stop shop displaying a range of books, stationery and toys. Through the launch of the new book store the company will enhance its service levels and customer experience. Mr. Rajiv Gunasena Deputy Managing Director - M. D. Gunasena reiterated, “With a century of experience in providing knowledge, and being well renowned as the company who taught the nation to read we are now inviting all book lovers to be a part of the next chapter. The design specifical­ly is a dedication and celebratio­n of authors, who often get neglected by the storyline or plot. M. D. Gunasena since its incorporat­ion in 1913 has become the most prestigiou­s publisher in Sri Lanka with 16 outlets island wide.
