Mulliwaikkal remembrance event banned at Eastern University

The organisers of the Mulliwaikkal remembrance event at the Eastern University had to go back in view of the ban imposed by the Police. It had been arranged to hold the remembrance event within the university premises, yesterday, at 10.30 a.m.

When the organisers and the stake-holders were getting ready to begin the programme, the Eravur Police arrived on the location and showed the prohibition order and requested the organisers to disperse. Following the request, the organisers dispersed form the venue.
