Over 3000 athletes vie for honours
Sir John Tarbet School Athletics Championships
Over 3000 young athletes representing 350 schools will compete for honours at the 85th Sir John Tarbet SchoolAthletics Championships which will be held from today at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium in Diyagama.
The three-day tournament is organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Athletics Association (SLSAA) and is sponsored by Ritzbury, the leading chocolate brand of Ceylon Biscuits Limited (CBL).

Ritzbury is a longstanding supporter of sports in Sri Lanka including the Junior National Squash Championship and the Inter-International SchoolsAthletic Meet and Mercantile Athletic Meet. Previous year Ritzbury also sponsored the AllIsland Hockey Tournament in Matale.
Hurdlers Yamani Dulanjali of Ambagamuwa Central and Uditha Chandrasena of Maris Stella College will light the Olympic torch.
