Autosafe imports electric cars from UK

-

Autosafe (Private) Limited, a company that was started off by a luxury car enthusiast, announced the launch of its business arm dedicated to import electric cars from the UK.

Headed by Autosafe Managing Director Narada Amarathunga, the company is positive that the rising demand for electric vehicles has given reason to expand its business to an area that concentrates mainly on the importation of electric vehicles.

The company has for the past decade facilitated the purchase of numerous luxury cars to the satisfaction of its clientele. The most striking feature of the company is the lean company structure that deliberately keeps the overheads low, hence the price advantage of not having a large sales force, inflated showroom and related costs is passed on to the client.

“This invariably brings down the purchase price of the vehicle considerably,” said Amarathunga.

“The Nissan Leaf is apt for Colombo city running as its advance energyefficient performance is built to give the user maximum efficiency even during heavy traffic. It’s the choice of most environmentally-conscious consumers who applaud the fact that the vehicle has no carbon footprint,” said Amarathunga, when asked what was special about the electric car.

Speaking on the high level of sophisticated mechatronics in the vehicle, he further added, “The car comes with English commands and is a huge factor to be considered as it makes interactions with the vehicle comprehendible to the driver and enhances the driving experience.”

Thikshana Kumara, the recent proprietor of the Nissan Leaf facilitated for importation by Autosafe said, “I am excited to experience the intricate technology with which the car has been designed. The BOSE sound system is an added bonus that makes me look forward to using my new Nissan Leaf.”
