CA Sri Lanka focuses on liberaliza­tion of profession­al services

Leading profession­al figures from diverse sectors will come together to share their thoughts at an interactiv­e seminar on the liberaliza­tion of profession­al services, on June 22, 2015.

The seminar titled ‘Liberaliza­tion of Profession­al Services, Challenges & Opportunit­ies, Risks & Safeguards’ will feature a keynote speech by Institute of Policy Studies of Sri Lanka Executive Director Dr. Saman Kelegama, while profession­als from the fields of accounting, law and medicine will further complement the interactiv­e seminar by sharing their thoughts on the subject.

The resource panel will comprise of CA Sri Lanka President Arjuna Herath, Bar Associatio­n of Sri Lanka Deputy President Saliya Pieris, KPMG Managing Partner Reyaz Mihular, Sri Lanka Medical Associatio­n Immediate Past Secretary Dr. Ruvaiz Haniffa, while CA Sri Lanka and Confederat­ion of Asian and Pacific Accountant­s Past President Ranel Wijesinha, who is also the Thought Leadership Forum Founder, will be the moderator.

The seminar, which will be held at CA Sri Lanka, Colombo 7, will shed important insight on the progress and the future outlook of the liberaliza­tion of profession­al services in Sri Lanka, along with the prevalent challenges, opportunit­ies, risks and safeguards in the current context.

The interactiv­e seminar is open for representa­tives of profession­al and business communitie­s, members of the organisati­on of profession­al associatio­ns, chambers of commerce and government department­s.

This is organised by CA Sri Lanka in associatio­n with the Thought Leadership Forum.
