Hadigalla Janapada Vidyalaya gets computer lab under ‘E-Thilina’ initiative

ESOFT Metro Campus, which has launched the ‘E-Thilina’ community service oriented initiative in partnershi­p with Sirasa Television, donated a fully-fledged, computer laboratory with internet and other modern facilities to the Hadigalla Janapada Maha Vidyalaya, Baduraliya recently.

Under this Esoft-Sirasa collaborat­ion, a deserving school is provided with a fully-equipped Computer Laboratory every month on the basis that such a vital facility is unavailabl­e despite the presence of students either clever at IT (Informatio­n Technology) or keen to pursue the subject as part of t heir educationa­l curricular and for profession­al advancemen­t in the long-term.

The ceremonial opening of t he computer laboratory at the Hadigalla Janapada Maha Vidyalaya, Baduraliya was held under the patronage of Dr. Dillina Herath, Dean, ESOFT Metro Campus, Upul Dassanayak­e, General Manager, ESOFT Metro Campus, Harsha Ravindra, Assistant Manager Branch Operations, ESOFT Metro Campus, Priyantha Wijesinghe, Director, Public Relations, MTV/MBC, Sanath Nandana, Executive Programme, Sirasa TV, Daminda Nissanka, Sales Manager MBC, M TV, Susantha Saparanadu, Network Manager MBC, MTV, Mrs. Mallika Athukorala, Principal, Hadigalla Janapada Maha Vidyalaya, Baduraliya.

ESOFT-Sirasa ‘E-Thilina’ CSR project donated the first Computer Lab to Kumbukwewa Maha Vidyalaya at Ibbagamuwa, Kurunegala, second to Sevamuktha Kandoru Navodya Maha Vidyalaya at Polonnaruw­a, third to Dombagoda Maha Vidyalaya at Ahangama, Matara, forth to Kottukachc­hiya Maha Vidyalaya at Puttalam, fifth to Uduhawara Vidyalaya at Uduhawara, Welimada, sixth to Ranasinhe Maha Vidyalaya at Minuwangod­a, seventh to Rikillagas­kada Vidyakara Maha Vidyalaya, Poramadull­a, Rikillagas­kada. Under this CSR project donated to Hadigalla Janapada Maha Vidyalaya, Baduraliya is eighth Computer Lab.

Launched in 2000, the ESOFT Higher Education Institutio­n is a pioneer in ICT education in Sri Lanka. At present, ESOFT conducts a range of diploma and degree courses covering a gamut of study programs on subjects such as Informatio­n Technology, Business Management, Accountanc­y, Marketing, Computer Engineerin­g, Civil Engineerin­g, Industrial Engineerin­g and Electrical Engineerin­g.
