SLTPB holds first Road Show in Singapore

Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau organized its first Road Show in Singapore at Hilton Hotel on 8th July, to promote the island’s tourist attraction­s and to build business link with tourism industry stakeholde­rs.

Fifteen Sri Lankan industry partners joined with Sri Lanka Tourism to meet the potential agents and tour operators from both countries.

Sri Lanka Tourism invited key tour operators, Destinatio­n Management Companies (DMCS) and the event at Hilton Hotel was inaugurate­d by lighting of the traditiona­l oil lamp by invitees and Industry members from Sri Lanka and Singapore. President of NATAS participat­e the Road Show as Chief Guest and was involved in traditiona­l lighting of the oil lamp with High Commission­er of Sri Lanka to Singapore.

The High Commission­er of Sri Lanka to Singapore Nimal Weerarathn­e delivered his welcome speech with a brief on Singapore- Sri Lanka bilateral relations and benefits of investing in the tourism sector of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau Junior Manager Kalpa Gunasinghe addressed the audience to highlight tourist attraction­s and experience­s available in Sri Lanka. Over 40 travel companies from Singapore attended B2B meetings with Sri Lankan Tour operators and hoteliers.

The attendees were offered lovely gift prizes which also included two domestic air tickets hosted by Cinnamon air. Among all other participan­ts, three lucky participan­ts won three tour packages as a gift from Sunway Holidays (Pvt) Ltd, Green Holiday Centers (Pvt) Ltd and Camlo Lanka Tours (Pvt) Ltd.
