Amaranthé Bay wins 2017 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award

-

Amaranthé Bay, the Trincomalee-based luxury boutique hotel, is one of the 25 hotel properties in Sri Lanka awarded the 2017 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice.

The Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice award, which has been in existence for 15 years, identifies the winners in the categories of Top Hotels, Luxury, Bargain, Small, Service, B&BS and Inns, Romance and Family, seeking out the world’s top properties based on millions of reviews and opinions collected from travellers around the globe in a single year.

According to Tripadvisor Chief Marketing Officer Barbara Messing, for the past 15 years, Tripadvisor determined the awards based on experiences and opinions of travellers who explored thousands of hotels around the world.

“Travellers planning their trips for 2017 can find inspiration for some of the best places to book, from this diverse group of outstanding accommodations around the globe,” she added.

Travellers’ Choice hotels winners are distinguished by remarkable service, value and quality.

Amaranthé Bay, located in a picturesque cove abutting the sandy beaches of Trincomalee, is a relative newcomer in the hotel business, having been in operation for only 18 months. Thus, to be chosen as one of the 25 hotels in Sri Lanka that received so many travellers’ accolades as to merit an award is indeed an impressive accomplishment.

Guests pampered at Amaranthé Bay leave the hotel glowing with delight and write rave reviews on the experiences that pleased them most. Some write about the opulence and cleanliness of large/junior suites, others of the quiet, restful sleep in ultra-plush beds with soft sheets and firm pillows or memorable moments of luxury in Jacuzzis tucked in the corner of rooms that offer a panoramic view of the river, the serenity and quiet of quaint surroundings, etc.

Above all, Amaranthé Bay is now identified as a hotel where the staff takes ownership in delighting the guests without needing to be supervised and where romance fills the air offering an unforgettable honeymooners’ paradise.

Amaranthé Bay Chairman Loyola Fernando has every reason to be elated as guest satisfaction is almost a religion to him. He consistently encourages his staff to mingle with the hotel guests so they would be better able to attend to their needs.

“Sri Lankans are well known as friendly people who always greet with a smile. When our guests go through such effort to visit the eastcoast, it is our responsibility to make their visit so memorable they would want to return.

A huge heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all of our amazing staff, whose extraordinary service made this award possible, and to our guests, who have been part of our first and wildly successful year!” said jubilant Fernando.
