Suzuki Alto clocks a record-breaking mileage on the meter with 320,208km

-

In a feat that seals the ability of Suzuki Alto to achieve greater mileage, Suzuki Alto Sportz (WP KH – 3797) owned by M.J.M Rafeek of Negombo has achieved a unique 320,208km (as at 20.6.16) on its clock.

Automobile industry experts are of the opinion that it is a remarkable achievement for the car and puts it in a new light of recognition.

With an engine capacity of only 800cc, the distance is almost that of between the earth and the moon and promises a record feat for owners of one of the most popular cars in Sri Lanka. The founder of Suzuki, Michio Suzuki, started building his prototype of 800cc car in 1937 – at the time, such a performance would have been furthest from his mind. However, thanks to a combination of factors such as new technology, outstanding capability and hardiness, the compact yet versatile car has been able to achieve this unique accomplishment.

Rafeek, the owner of the car is brimming with pride and mentions that he has maintained his car at the AMW service centers from the beginning, which is the reason why the car has continued to give exceptional performance, he says.

Purchased in 2008, the Alto owned by him has been used for regular running from his residence in Negombo to his workplace in Homagama on a daily basis. In addition, he has driven it to many locations in the country on holiday with his family.

Since he bought the vehicle in 2008, the Alto has proven to be a reliable and a durable choice. He stated that the vehicle has given him a pleasant drive on a daily basis and when on holiday. Given the fact that his family needs a bigger car now, he has chosen to be brand loyal to Suzuki and will be going in for a brand new Suzuki Celerio.

Rafeek says in conclusion that he has always been happy with the level of service provided by AMW and will continue to be a loyal customer.
