Therefore this digital enhancement not only will benefit Lanka Hospitals but also Sri Lanka as a country, channeling in a lucrative avenue that could take Sri Lanka as the most preferred healthcare hub of Asia and the Asia Pacific region,” said Dr. Paranavitane.

Chief Marketing Officer of Lanka Hospitals, Nimal Ratnayake noted that www.lankahospitals. com comprises Sinhala and Tamil language support and will launch in to more international languages in phase 2 of its continuous improvement plan.

“The new website will host mini sites dedicated to centres of excellence such as women’s wellness centre, gastroenterology centre, centre for blood disorders, IVF centre etc, which are targeted at stake holders specifically and generally looking for high quality information about these medical conditions, treatment options as well as facilities offered by Lanka Hospitals”. He said.

“The development of the new Lanka Hospitals’ website was carried out following thorough research on how individuals search for healthcare on the internet. More than the design aspect, we concentrated on the search engine optimization functionality based on how Google would rank the website and its pages over a period of time. It is developed to support 2K resolution and is completely moved away from the regular paradigm of web design as the website will continuously evolve according to the user behavior and the trends of the international and national healthcare markets,” said Chief Information Officer of Lanka Hospitals, Ruwan Amarasekara.
