Vavuniya Police complex. This event was attended by the IGP Pujith Jayasundera and several other senior police officials.
The Venerable Thera said further that, “the Sinhala, Tamil and Muslims lived in harmony and it was recently that differences surfaced among these communities. This type of animosity and quarrels among each other are not going to benefit anyone. There should be an understanding among each other. Human values should be built up. We as Buddhist should lead exemplary lives, our behaviour should not hurt anyone. Constructing Chethiyas and temples in police stations and camps should be appreciated.
The police had dedicated themselves in protecting the country. We should never forget how the security forces worked dedicatedly to protect the Tamil people’ he further said.
