TT selection trials today and tomorrow

Selection trials to select Table Tennis players to take part in two international competitions - The Seamaster 23rd ITTF

Asian Table Tennis Championships to be held in China from April 9 to 16. The other is the Liebherr 2017 World Table Tennis Championships in Germany from May 29 to June 5 this year.

The Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka has decided to conduct the two trials to select the Players to represent Sri

Lanka for the above International Championship. Four men and four women players will be selected for the events. The trials will take place today andtomorrow (March 13 and 14) at S. Thomas’ Indoor Stadium, Mt. Lavinia. The following are called for trials:

Men: Udaya Ranasinghe, B.N.B. Jayasinghe,chameera Ginige,prasad de Silva,milinda Lakshitha,rohan Sirisena,dinesh

Deshapriya, K. S. T. Chalitha, Sajith Kavinda (Standby), Supuna Warusawithana (Standby).

Women: Hansani Piumila, Ishara Madurangi,nuwani Vidanage,buddeepani Rajaguru, Ruvini Kannangara, Erandi Warusavithana, Imasha de Silva, Muthumali Priyadarshani, Ochini Dissanayake (Standby), Chamathsara Fernando (Standby).

Each trial will be given a maximum of 40 points and a maximum of 20 points will be given for ranking points for the last 5 open tournaments.- SP
