Kusal slams unbeaten 161

Kusal Perera slammed a quick-fire unbeaten knock of 161 from 118 balls that included 19 boundaries and five sixes to help Kegalle District record a convincing eight-wicket win over Puttalam District in a high scoring first-round match of the Inter-district Limited Over Cricket Tournament played at the FTZ Grounds in Katuanayak­e yesterday.

Meanwhile, in other matches Kandy District, Kilinochch­i District, Matara District, Colombo District, Badulla District, Mannar District and Batticaloa District recorded wins over Nuwara Eliya District, Jaffna District, Galle District, Kalutara District, Ratnapura District, Anuradhapu­ra District and Ampara District respective­ly.
