Five Nigerians overstaying Visas taken into custody

Five Nigerians who had been overstaying in the country after the expiry of Visas were taken into custody by the Kochchikade Police during a search operation in the area. Police said the five foreigners had visited the country as tourists and staying in houses and running petty trades to make a living. A senior police official said the suspect foreigners would be produced in court to obtain an order to deport them.
A police team under OIC Kochchikade Police CI N.B.R.J. Dharmakirithi conducted the raid on the instructions of SP Lalith Rohana Gamage and SSP Piyalal Dasanayaka.
