Kingswood in 44 run win

Kingswood College scored a 44 run win over their traditional rivals Dharmaraja College in the limited over encounter played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium yesterday.

Rajans won the toss and the put the visitors in to bat. Kingswood at one stage were in trouble at 111 for 5, but a superb sixth wicket partnership between Vimukthi Wijesiriwardena (69) and Yasod Kavinda (76) of 103 runs saw the ‘Randles Hill’ school out of trouble. Yasod scored his runs in only 72 balls with the help of 9 boundaries and 2 huge sixes while Vimukthi who was in cracking form scored his runs in 65 balls with the help of 5 boundaries and 6 times

clearing the ropes.
