Woman hacked to death in Dehiwela

A woman had been hacked to death, allegedly by her husband, last morning, police said.

The deceased Fathima Arusiya (35) was identified as a resident of Attidiya, Dehiwela.

The police said the husband is alleged to have assaulted his wife due to a family dispute.

The suspect had been arrested and was to be produced in the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
