Four injured in car-lorry accident

A car hit the back of a lorry at Andaloya on the AmparaMahaoya road, causing serious injuries to four passengers. The injured were admitted to the Ampara General Hospital. Police said the driver might have lost control of the car due to excessive speed, before colliding with the lorry. The driver of the lorry was taken into custody pending further action. OIC Uhana Police IP Aruna Jayagth Dehigama is conducting further investigations.
