Shangri-la’s Hambantota launches new golf membership, attractive room offer for first anniversar­y

Shangri-la’s Hambantota Resort & Spa will roll out a plethora of activities and special offers for its first anniversar­y.

On June 10, the resort will launch the golf membership at Shangri-la’s Hambantota Golf and Country Club, which provides all the amenities guestscan expect from a world class golf club, with different categories of membership to suit golfers’ preference­s.

The individual membership starts at Rs. 85,000 per year and includes unlimited golf anytime on weekdays and weekends, 30 percent off on accommodat­ion, 20 percent off at the restaurant­s, 20 percent discount on spa treatments for the member and spouse, and much more. And to make the golfing experience even merrier, members’ family and friends can benefit from50%offon green fees. A family membership is available so that guests from all ages can enjoy the golfing facilities. Priced at Rs. 100,000, the annual membership also includes free usage of the pool and fitness facilities.the young ones can also enroll for an individual junior membership at Rs. 42,500 per year.

Spread across a vast coconut palm plantation, the par-70 course golf course offers spectacula­r views and distinctiv­e challenges for both beginners and seasoned players. Designed by Rodney Wright, the globally celebrated designer, the courseoffe­rs lush fairways and challengin­g bunkers, with the Dune Area featuring subtle elevation changes and the Sapphire Mine showcasing generous greens with an abundance of water features.

For its first anniversar­y the resort also launched the ‘We are One’ campaign which includes an attractive room offer for locals and residents, starting from Rs. 29,350 for two persons onhalf board basis. Guests staying at the resort on 24 and 25 June will also enjoy an array of special treats.

An epicurean experience awaits at Sera restaurant with a 5-course set menu for Rs. 8,840 per person, and a ‘buy one, get one free” offer’.
