Iconic Galaxy showcases parliament complex, Rajagiriya in new light for Int’l Vesak

-

Beginning at sunset on the Vesak day, the lights on the iconic parliament complex, the majestic drive to it plus the areas in Rajagiriya dazzled the skyline on a celebratory note.

In honour of the values and tradition of Vesak, Iconic Galaxy, the luxury apartment complex in Rajagiriya, teamed up with the Urban Development Authority (UDA) to showcase the suburb of Rajagiriya in a new light.

This year’s religious and cultural tradition was celebrated on a mega scale with Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi and President Maithripala Sirisena as chief guests for the inauguration of a week of illuminating festivity.

Managing Director of Iconic Developments, the real estate developer of Iconic 110, Parliament Road and the now underconstruction Iconic Galaxy, Rohan Parikh, said, “The illumination of Rajagiriya only seems befitting the grand structure of the house of parliament and the roads and infrastructure surrounding it. Our little contribution towards Sri Lanka’s most celebrated festival is also a celebration of the development that is taking place in Sri Jayawardenepura, Kotte and Rajagiriya towards evolving into a mega city.”

“We were proud to be part of the evenings of splendour that Vesak offered the citizens and also help create a vibrant urban environment and enhance the liveability quotient of Rajagiriya by enhancing the area’s assets not only through physical infrastructure but also by promoting its citizens to engage with cultural activities. We are extremely pleased to host the illumination of Rajagiriya for the International Vesak week,” added Parikh.

Parikh went on to note that the parent company, ANP Group, based in India with developments across Singapore, Oman and Sri Lanka, having been in business since 1947 and across three generations understands the inherent value of culture. “And as home builders we at Iconic recognise that great traditions and culture should be accessible to everyone. This is a step towards realizing our vision of promoting various cultural initiatives that will offer diverse opportunities for citizens of Colombo as well as others in the Country to illuminate their lives and enrich their worlds.”
