Sudeera steers Devapathir­aja MMV

Devapathir­aja MMV Rathgama Skipper Sudeera Weeraratne produced a fine allround performanc­e to steer his side to an easy first inning win over St. Servatius’ College Matara in their Under-15 Division One Cricket Tournament match played at Rathgama yesterday.

In the other matches Sri Sumangala Panadura, Gurukula MV Kelaniya, St. John’s Nugegoda, Lumbini MV, and Prince of Wales won their respective matches. At Rathgama St. Servatius: 62 (Sudeera Weeraratne 4/18, Jeewaka Shasheen 3/24) and 63/4 (Hirun Anjana 32) Devapathir­aja MMV: 162/7 declared (Sudeera Weeraratne 62, Sahan Madusanka 32, Ashen Sandaru 4/36). At Panadura Sri Sumangala Panadura: 111 (Prabath Jayasekera 36, Manith Perera 4/11, Yasiru Rodrigo 4/26) and 65/4 (Manith Perera 4/27) S. Thomas’: 90 (Lakindu Fernanado 6/19). At Mahara Gurukula MV Kelaniya: 115/9 (Thisara Isuranga 42, Madura Gimhan 4/24) and 29/4 (Awantha Perera 3/12)Moratu MV: 69 (Ramindu Udara 3/9, Deshan Thanujaka 3/32). At Padukka C. W. W. Kannangara MMV: 133 (Gimhana Theekshana 74, Ayath Dilimitha 6/28) and 139/6. St. John’s Nugegoda: 177/8 declared (Hasindu Chamika 96, Pasindu Kumara 3/52).
