APU Malaysia signs MOA to use Forestpin Analytics
Rimbun Forensic Advisory Sdn Bhd, the partners representing Foresptin in Malaysia, signed the memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Asia Pacific University Malaysia (APU) to enhance the undergraduate and postgraduate learning experiences on Forensic Accounting software.
Forestpin Analytics is a Sri Lankan software used by large corporates in Sri Lanka like John Keells Holdings, Hemas Holdings and MAS Intimates to reduce operational risk. Forestpin compares new transactions such as purchase orders, payments, sales receipts with past transactions patterns using mathematical and statistical models to provide alerts and analytics on suspicious transactions. These often result in data entry corrections and process improvements. Machine learning is used to enhance the relevance of alerts. The software has been cited in a presentation at the American Accounting Association annual conference.
