Sri Lanka’s most innovative bank, HNB PLC, announced a breakthrough partnership with Visa to deliver a special range of benefits for the HNB Visa Infinite and Visa Signature cardholders, including access to the world’s most prestigious airport lounges and an outstanding range of discounts.

With the launch of the Airport Companion Programme by Dragonpass, the cardholders will be provided with access to over 900 of the world’s most lavish airport lounges in the world in addition to concessionary rates for lounge visits, the option of reserving a limousine service in 140 of the world’s most bustling cities and discounts of up to 50 percent at over 800 dining outlets at airports globally for Visa Infinite cardholders.

“HNB remains fully committed to delivering unparalleled service excellence to our customers and our partnership with Visa represents another exciting development in this journey. There is tremendous interest from our customers and we are confident that our HNB Visa cardholders will respond enthusiastically to the Dragon Pass offer,” HNB Chief Operating Officer Dilshan Rodrigo stated.

While benefits will be available to all categories of Visa Infinite and Visa Signature cardholders will be granted a complimentary membership, Visa Infinite members will receive two complimentary lounge visits every year. All of these functions can be conveniently managed and redeemed via a simple, easy-to-use mobile app.

“At HNB we are fully dedicated towards the creation of products and services which offer the best value for our customers and so we are very excited to be able to partner with Visa to launch Dragon Pass for our valued cardholders, thereby ensuring that each of them has access to world-class travel and dining experiences anywhere they go.

“HNB customers will enjoy these benefits through the bank’s partnership with Visa, the world’s most trusted electronic payment platform. These benefits are tailored especially with frequent travellers in mind, allowing them to enjoy a convenient and stress-free travel experience with better accessibility to lounges and dining facilities,” HNB Head of Cards Roshantha Jayatunge said.

Dragonpass Asia Pacific CEO Becky Lim said, “Dragonpass is excited to partner with HNB and Visa to jointly offer our digital Airport Companion Programme that provides HNB’S most premium cardholders with exclusive access and privileges across a suite of benefits in airports globally. We hope to enhance every traveller’s journey, so that they can enjoy a seamless and significantly more enjoyable travel experience.”

Dragonpass offers the first of its kind all-in-one digital travel solution providing customers with a complete airport experience via a digitally integrated mobile application. Customers can gain access to exclusive privileges and discounts to amenities and services at the airport such as lounges, restaurants, spas, limousines and meet and greet services while new services are being added.

With a Dragonpass membership, you never have to travel on a particular airline or booking class to take advantage of the lounge access and other benefits. Different membership plans suit both frequent and infrequent travellers.

“We see a tremendous growth in tourist arrivals in Sri Lanka with arrival figures having grown 14 percent to 2.0 million in 2016. More and more Sri Lankans are also choosing to travel overseas with so many options available through consistent incentives and special offers. Given the fact that travellers do spend a considerable amount of time at airports, access to lounges and good dining options is also becoming relevant. In addition to numerous offers, giving our customers the opportunity to connect with a global network of lounges across international airports will enhance their personal experience as a Visa card holder,” Visa Country Manager for Sri Lanka Anthony Watson noted.

Visa Inc. is a global payments technology company that connects consumers, businesses, financial institutions and governments in more than 200 countries and territories to fast, secure and reliable electronic payments.
