Castrol partners Jaguar and Land Rover in Sri Lanka

-

Two global automotive giants, Jaguar and Land Rover collaborated with lubricant giant Castrol this September, and the partnership was entered between AMW and SML Frontier (SMLF) Automotive – AMW for Castrol and SMLF, the sole agents for Jaguar Land Rover, recognizing Castrol as the preferred lubricant.

Castrol and Jaguar have been working together to make the oils a perfect-fit and the original decision to partner with Castrol has been based on its competitive advantage. Castrol Edge Professional, doubles the oil’s film strength, preventing oil film breakdown and reducing friction to help maximize engine performance up to 45 percent stronger than major competitors in reducing metal-to-metal contact, as it is boosted with Titanium FST. Continuous R&D with Jaguar and Castrol to create oils custom-made to fit the highly sophisticated requirements of engines has been in full flow since 2002 with both teams collaborating to push boundaries to boost performance ensuring the unparalleled driving experience that Jaguar is known for.

Castrol’s engine and transmission oil for Jaguar has seen engineering scope pushed to the limit, keeping abreast of technological advances of Jaguar engines. Jaguar uses Castrol for factory-fills and recommends owners use the same oil as it facilitates its distribution in all its after-sales markets.

Land Rover’s choice of Castrol as its preferred lubricant is founded on Castrol’s unassailable advantages in the lubricant market. Castrol Edge Professional is boosted with Titanium FST, doubles the oil’s film strength, preventing oil film breakdown and reducing friction to help maximize engine performance. Reportedly up to 45 percent stronger than major competitors in reducing metalto-metal contact, Castrol has consistently delivered the high levels of performance demanded by Land Rover drivers and Castrol Edge Professional is also the world’s first certified Co2-neutral engine oil.

As the new relationship between Castrol and Jaguar Land Rover brands renews long-standing global ties, SML Frontier will make the recommended Castrol oils available to its exclusive clientele in Sri Lanka through its after-sales service center, the sole authorized service centre for both brands. Located at No. 117, Dehiwela Road, Boralesgamuwa, Sri Lanka, the SMLF Aftersales Centre, Castrol will now be available for clientele.
