EMP wins Gold at NCE Export Awards 2017

Electro Metal Pressings (Pvt.) Ltd (EMP), the vanguard of Sri Lanka’s electro mechanical engineerin­g industry, won the Gold award at the recently concluded Export Awards 2017 organised by the National Chamber of Exporters (NCE) of Sri Lanka.

The ceremony was graced by the chief guest, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesi­nghe and other dignitarie­s, as the NCE marked 25 years of recognizin­g and rewarding Sri Lankan exporters for their achievemen­ts across global markets.

EMP too celebrates 25 years in operation this year, evolving from manufactur­ing standalone products at its inception in 1992, to have rapidly progressed into one of the most sought-after electro mechanical engineerin­g solutions providers of the Africa – Asia Pacific region today.

EMP covers a portfolio of mega scale and industrial projects as well as corporate, commercial and residentia­l solutions, servicing a growing list of affluent clients across Kenya, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, the Maldives and Australia. Head-quartered in a state-of-theart manufactur­ing complex in Templeburg Industrial Estate, Sri Lanka, the company’s regional presence is establishe­d with country offices in the Maldives, Bangladesh and Myanmar, supporting a regional operation powered by a 400-member strong team.

EMP’S export capacity building efforts are driven by investment in ultramoder­n machinery, technology and infrastruc­ture expansion, complement­ed by focused efforts to enhance production capacity and reduce turnaround time through intensive research, developmen­t and innovation across all verticals of the operation, including low voltage and medium voltage (LV & MV) panel boards, cable management systems (CMS) and turnkey project execution.
