Taniya wins 2017 NDB Private Wealth Junior Masters Challenge Trophy

Expert financial planner NDB Wealth recently concluded its third consecutiv­e NDB Private Wealth Junior Masters Golf Championsh­ips.

Held on August 18 at the historic Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGG), this year’s edition saw Taniya Balasuriya beat out the pack to emerge as the overall tournament winner, going on to lift the coveted 2017 NDB Private Wealth Junior Masters Challenge Trophy at the awards ceremony.

Category winners at the 2017 NDB Private Wealth Junior Masters Golf Championsh­ip included: Taniya Balasuriya in the Gold category (15-17 years), Levon Niyarepola in the Silver category (12-14 years), Nirekh Tejwani in the Bronze category (10-11 years), Kvahn Tejwani in the Copper category (nine years and below).

Importantl­y, this year’s NDB Private Wealth Junior Masters Golf Championsh­ips also saw a steady uptick in participan­ts, with interest expressed by several overseas participan­ts. This is a clear indicator that the tournament’s longstandi­ng mission to promote junior golf has made considerab­le headway.

Further, the NDB Private Wealth Junior Masters Golf Championsh­ip has grown increasing­ly popular in no small part because of the significan­t rewards on offer. The four winners, as well as those earning first and second runner-up slots in each category, all earned NDB Wealth accounts of significan­t value for their winning performanc­es, which will serve as an investment into their sporting future. Additional­ly, all competitor­s in the 2017 NDB Private Wealth Junior Masters Golf Championsh­ip also received NDB Wealth accounts as gifts for participat­ing.
